Last Saturday, December 17th, Tamarit Beach Resort collaborated with Tarragona Turisme in the celebration of the 100x Sant Simplici challenge.
It all starts on January 1, 2022, when the runner Anna Saballs sets out to climb Sant Simplici 100 times, a 111-meter-high peat bog near Tamarit, to recover the memory of the medieval watchtower that stands at the top of it. From the top, we are offered an incredible natural spectacle: 360º panoramic views of the Baix Gaià.
Although the hundredth time Anna climbed Sant Simplici she did it alone, the ninety-ninth time she did it with 200 people who walked the 8 kilometers with her and admired the beauty of our area.
Once the walk was over, the walkers enjoyed a pleasant Christmas party in our Brisa Restaurant, at the foot of the Tamarit castle, where we had a great time together, talking about how lucky we are to be surrounded by such a beautiful environment and people.
